A dozen goats were discovered dead at a Patterson Lane address, according to a report filed by Bradley County deputy Darren Miller.
Billie Jo Flowers reported she believed a dog had attacked the goats that were kept on her property.
Miller noted the canine in question had not been located.
The goats were valued at $2,400.
- The theft of chainsaws and other yard equipment from an Old Parksville Road address was reported over the weekend.
According to a report filed by Deputy Bryan Chancey, Dwight Jenkins said the equipment had been stored in his outbuilding.
Someone reportedly broke into the building and took a Craftsman chainsaw, a Stihl chainsaw and an Echo backpack blower.
Serial numbers were obtained by Chancey and entered into the National Crime Information Center’s computer database.
The missing items were valued at $3,134.
- Wedding jewelry, a TV and a rifle were among items taken during a burglary at a Ladd Springs Road address.
Cpl. David Harper filed a report for Dianne Cartwright.
According to the report, sometime during the night while she was away from her house on Sunday, someone entered the home by removing the window air unit.
Criminal Investigations Division detectives were notified of the burglary.
Loss was estimated at $1,150.
Investigation is continuing.
