Azalee Walker Bishop, 69 a lifelong resident of Ooltewah, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, in Acworth, Ga. at the home of her daughter.

She was born in Chattanooga, on May 12, 1944, a daughter of the late Loomis and Lola Smith Walker. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bishop; four sisters: Alvata Bailey, Hattie Payne, Betty Walker and Eliza Robinson; two brothers: David Walker and Ike Walker.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Richard Eubanks; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Sandy Walker; one sister, Nancy Hindman; three brothers: Carl Walker, Clyde Walker and Wayne Walker; six grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; several other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Bancroft Church of God, 180 Bancroft Road, in McDonald with the Rev. Donald Oliver officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. service time.

Interment will follow in the Ooltewah Cemetery with Scott Walker, Jason Mashburn, T. J. Jones, Taylor Jack, Frank Quinn and Chad Shadden serving as pallbearers.
