Gary J. Greely, 76, entered into his eternal rest, Wednesday, April 2, 2014, safe in the arms of Jesus, surrounded by his loving family, who loved and honored him.
He was born in Portland, Maine, to Edwina Greely. He lived the last 10 years in Cleveland.
He had a passion for music and was a talented musician, playing piano, accordion, and harmonica and was blessed with a beautiful tenor voice. He was a wonderful poet, like his mother.
He served two years in the U.S. Army and four years in the U.S. Navy with an honorable discharge. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Ocoee.
He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 52 years, Janice (Giles) Greely; five children: Debra Barrett of Limington, Maine, John Greely of Cleveland, Jannita Wallace and husband, Charles, of Delano, Gloriann Palmer and husband, David, of Cleveland, Rene Bontrager and husband, Rollin, of Wellman, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; and one brother-in-law.

A Remembrance of Life Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
