Pauline Howard, 87, a resident of Benton, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, in a Chattanooga health care facility.
She was a former resident of Detroit, Mich., for 30 years and returned to Benton in 1965.
She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. She loved to travel, crotchet and spend time with family.
She was the daughter of the late Jim Duggan and Ollie Viola Duggan.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ernest Howard, and one daughter, Sandra Haskett and husband, Thomas, all of Benton; two grandchildren: Warren “Butch” Arthur Jr of Cleveland and Misty Renfro and husband, Nathan, of Benton; one great-granddaughter, Savannah Renfro of Benton; several stepgrandchildren: Cindy Brooks and husband, Tony, of Macon, Ga., Darren Haskett and wife, Daphne, of Kensington, Ga., Gina Halenar and husband, Jim of Rossville, Ga. and Brian Haskett and wife, Nancy, of Ringgold, Ga.
The funeral will be held at noon Thursday, April 3, 2014, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Betsy Switzer officiating.
Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Tom Haskett, Nathan Renfro, Butch Arthur, Ralph Bates, Darren Haskett and Jimmy Renner serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
