Oscar James Moser, 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014, at a local hospital.

He was a member of Four Point Baptist Church. He retired from Hardwick Stove Company after 25 years of service. He was called “mow” by many of his friends because he worked on lawnmowers as a hobby.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Moser and Gailey Mae Crofts Moser; wife, Zady Moser; sister, Reba Lee Goforth; brother, Owen Crofts; and nephew, Dennis Goforth.

He is survived by one son, James Austin Moser and wife, Karen, of McDonald; three grandchildren: Melinda Centers, Bobby Coffman and Nicole Barrineau, all of Cleveland; three great-grandchildren; and one niece, Judy Tate of Cleveland.

Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Murphy officiating.

Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery with Bobby Coffman, David Ownby, Chris Barrineau, Troy Goins, Jason Centers and Gary Ownby serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
