Brenda Faye Longwith, 65, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday night, March 13, 2014, in a local hospital.
She was born in Cleveland on July 25, 1948 a daughter, of the late Ernest and Lula Officer.
She was of the Pentecostal faith. She was retired from the Merck Schering-Plough Company in Cleveland. She loved her dogs, crafts, walking and spending time with her beloved son, Dallas.
She also was an ambitious office worker and strong supporter for Rep. Eric Watson. Above all however, she will be most remembered for being a godly woman with a strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Gibson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving son, Dallas; one niece, Vickie Lee; special friends: Rep. Eric and Tenille Watson; extended family; and a host of special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for tonight, March 17, 2014, at 7 p.m. in the Dixon Chapel of the North Cleveland Church of God, 335 11th Street NE, with Rep. Eric Watson and Pastor Keith Watson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 4:30 until the 7 p.m. service time today.
The graveside and committal service will be held, Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the Moores Chapel Cemetery with Jeff Black, Mark Jones, Terry James and Perk Evans serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release.
