Dorothy L. Boring of Cleveland, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014.

She worked at Appler’s Shoe Store for more than 20 years and was retired from the Bradley County Courthouse.

She was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving sister and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Willie Ingram Boring; brothers: Clifford Boring and Harvey Boring; and sister, Marie Boring.

Survivors include her sisters: Violet Heifner and Virginia Boring, both of Cleveland, and Juanita Epperson of Georgia; special niece, Denise Epperson of Georgia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Lake Walker officiating.

Interment will follow in Rural Vale Baptist Church Cemetery in Tellico Plains with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
