Frank Paul Westwood Jr., 85, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at his residence.
He was chief petty officer of damage control with the United States Coast Guard for 36 years and worked for FPL for 36 years throughout the south Florida region.
He was a member of several organizations of Belle Glade — the Lions Club Port Committee, the Elks Club, the Chamber of Commerce, the Cemetery Committee of Pt. Mayaca and the Ham Radio Club, of which he was the president. Westwood, originally from Lake Okeechobee, Fla., moved to Cleveland in 2012.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Vorisek Westwood; son, Frank Paul Westwood III (Jodie) of Cleveland; daughter, Ellen Kay Stevens (Rick); sister, Helen Scotten; beloved nieces and nephews: Johnny Scotten, Sara (Michael) Warren, Joey (Pattie) Scotten, Grace (Bryan) Duffy, Delores (Robert) Lupo and Darlene (Marty) Kotthaus; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He loved people and was always involved in his community. His memory will always be cherished.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
