Polk County traveled to Red Bank Tuesday night and came away with a 9-6 win.
The Lady Wildcats held the Lady Lions scoreless in the first three innings, all while racking up runs of their own.
Polk started things out in the first with two runs, which was followed up in the second inning with three runs and then two more in the third.
Red Bank’s first run of the evening came in the bottom of the fourth.
The Lady Wildcats’ scoring ended in the top of the sixth, following two more runs.
The Lady Lions were able to add five more runs in the bottom of the seventh before Polk County could end their late game surge.
Polk’s Briana Muller got the win, striking out a total of nine batters and was also 3-5 from the plate, with all three hits driving in runs.
Hannah Withrow went 3-for-3 and drove in two runners.
The Lady Wildcats are back in action Thursday when they host East Ridge at 5:30 p.m.
