Dr. Seuss Make & Take will be a drop-in craft event all day long. Stop by our children’s department anytime this initial day of our Week of Seuss Celebration.
Dr. Seuss Story Time will be March 4 at 10:30 a.m. with lively stories for children ages 3 to 5. Seuss Inspired Game Time will be held March 5 at 4:30 p.m. in the Community Room for the whole family. At the movies with Dr. Seuss featuring the “Butter Battle Book,” “Ponteffel Pock & His Magic Piano” and “The Lorax” will be held at 4:30 p.m. March 6 in the Community Room.
Then to finish the week, on March 7 at 10:30 a.m., join us for “Green Eggs & Ham” story time with eggs, pigs and a special treat.
On March 9, “2nd Sundays @ 2p.m.” will be an introduction to genealogy resources. “Discovering Your Roots” will introduce you to the world of your ancestors and how the library can aid you in your search.
There are various Internet sites the library provides for patrons to help with their search and which give tips to know where to look. There is no fee for this series of programs, which is open to the public. Call the Non Fiction Desk at 472-2163 to register for this program.
The Tween Movie this month is the “Tale of Desperaux,” (Rated G) at 11 a.m. in the Community Room March 8.
This movie is based on Kate DiCamillo’s popular Newberry winning fantasy about a mouse that tackles themes like longing, grief, loyalty and hurt.
This movie is appropriate for Tweens age 6 through 12.
