Lynda Presswood Suggs, 68, of Cleveland, passed away Friday afternoon, Feb. 21, 2014, at a Chattanooga hospital.
She was a devoted member at First Baptist Church and loved the Lord Jesus Christ.
Her greatest joy was her relationship with her 8-year-old granddaughter, Darby. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She had a servant’s heart and was counted a trusted friend by many. Lynda was retired from Eaton Corporation as an executive assistant after 26 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Presswood and Gertrude Carden Presswood.
Survivors include her son, Lance Suggs (Carrie) of Murfreesboro; beloved granddaughter, Darby Suggs of Murfreesboro; two sisters: Virginia “Jinny” Davis and Evelyn Lee (Robert), both of Cleveland; two brothers: Larry Presswood and Bill Presswood, both of Cleveland; nieces: Jana Casteel (Waymon) and Judy Shamblin, both of Cleveland; and nephews: Jimmy Ellis (Carolyn) and Jerry Ellis of Cleveland and Victor Lee (Judy) of Knoxville.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 23, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Cleveland with Pastors Victor Lee and Steve Morgan officiating. A white dove release will conclude the service.
A gathering of friends will be held immediately following the service at the church.
