Take Charge of Your Diabetes six-week course will continue on Feb. 17, 24, March 3 and 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. each week. The course is a fun, skill-building program designed for persons with diabetes. It is designed to help individuals take day-to-day responsibility for the care of their diabetes. Class size is limited. For more information, contact the UT Extension-Bradley Office at 728-7001.

“Healthy Living” is the theme for the November Lego Weekend. Lego clubs will begin to prepare for this event. The Lego clubs this week will begin to prepare for this event. Both age groups, 5 through 7 on Feb. 18, and 8 through 12 on Feb. 20, will meet at 4:30 p.m. in the Community Room. These groups meet monthly working on specific projects to display during Lego Weekend. There is no cost to join and the library provides the Legos.

A Behind-the-Scenes library tour will be Feb. 20 at 4 p.m. Meet in the lobby to begin this 45 minute tour. No advanced reservations needed.

Tweens will discuss “One and Only Ivan” by Katherine Applegate at Tween Book Chatter Feb. 21 at 4:30 p.m. in the Children’s Activity Room at the library.

FOLA will host its monthly Book & Coffee Series Feb. 21 at the Craigmiles-Johnston House History Branch Library at 10 a.m. Dr. Rev. Joel W. Huffstetler will review “The Death of Santini: by Pat Conroy. The Book and Coffee Reviews usually last one hour and The Friends of the Library Association provides the coffee. There is no charge to attend this event.

Fun and fitness exercise classes for all ages are held at First United Methodist Church, 3425 N. Ocoee St., Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 1 p.m. The classes, which are taught by Ann Smeltzer RN, will continue for five weeks. Cost is $1 per day. Movie Night @ the library will show Lee Daniels’ “The Butler” on Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. It was originally scheduled for January but was not shown due to snow closing. Join us for popcorn and a movie on the big screen.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) local chapter meets every Monday at Wesleyan Methodist Church on Peerless Road. Private weigh-ins are from 5 to 5:30 p.m. and the meeting is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. A TOPS category for children ages 7-18 is available. For more information, call 472-9628 or 593-4727.
