ETSU confers 1,500 degrees

JOHNSON CITY — East Tennessee State University conferred nearly 1,500 degrees in two fall commencement ceremonies in December.

Graduating students who achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during their undergraduate careers were Samantha Ashley Dunn of Kingsport and Joshua Gary Orion Hill of Weber City, Va.

In addition to awarding bachelor’s, master’s, and educational specialist (Ed.S.) degrees, as well as graduate certificates, ETSU bestowed doctor of education (Ed.D.), doctor of public health (Dr.P.H.), doctor of physical therapy (D.P.T.) and doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees on successful candidates.
