Lady Raiders spring to volleyball wins on road

SPRING CITY — The sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade Cleveland Middle volleyball Lady Raiders traveled to Spring City Thursday and all three teams came back with victories.

They will travel to Rhea County today in their third matchup of the season, then take part in the Bear Paw Classic at Bradley Central Saturday.

The sixth-grade Lady Raiders, led by Anna Walker, Claire Brusky, Sara Pritchard, and Savannah Pitts, won by scores of 25-19, and 15-7 in games two and three after falling 25-14 in game one.

In seventh-grade action, CMS swept the two-game series with Spring City by identical scores of 25-18, 25-18 with Nicole Glaser, Olivia Jabaley, Madelyn Dasher, Maddie Rue and Lydia Martin playing key roles in the victory.

CMS closed the night with another sweep for the eighth-grade team. The Lady Raiders, behind the solid play of Emma Flowers, Sophia Lakatosh, and Rheagan Hall, pulled the double victories with scores of 25-14 and 25-10.
