Registration is now open for the Lee 4v4 Youth Soccer League which is set to kick off its third season beginning March 18 on the campus of Lee University. The recreational soccer league is for boys and girls, ages 5-12 and includes players of all levels of ability from beginner to more advanced.

The six-week program, which tripled in its enrollment last year, is run by the coaching staff and players of the Lee University men’s soccer team. Players will meet on Tuesday night for a skills clinic and training and then will play matches Saturday mornings on a smaller field with smaller goals. Players and teams are selected according to age and ability.

The 4v4 format allows players to get more touches with the ball with fewer participants on the field. They develop more effectively in this small-sided structure while experiencing a greater joy of the game due to higher success in scoring and being involved. Qualified and caring coaches guide, encourage and mentor the young players and build a healthy rapport between them.

Online Registration forms and a downloadable brochure are now available and registration forms may be mailed in. For more information, go to http://goleeflames.com and click on “camps” or call the men’s soccer office at 423-614-8158. Discounted early registration ends March 1.
