Kandi Renae Masingale Edwards, 43, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2014, in a Chattanooga hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Willie Edwards; maternal grandparents, Mary Lou Wright Smith and James Smith Sr.; paternal grandparents, Allie and Austin Masingale; and her uncles: Tommy Smith, Jimmy “Tight Eye” Wright, James Smith Jr. and Ricky Smith.
She worked as a seamstress with Hardwick Clothes and loved country music. She attended Prospect Church of God.
Survivors include her daughters: Amber Renae Edwards and Kasara Grady; son, Derek Douglas “Big Boy” Grady; grandchildren: Jeremiah Scott, Jaylee Scott, Kassiah Grady, Kelci Grady and Jeffrey Grady; her mother and father, Wanda Smith Masingale and Bobby Masingale; her companion, Scott Grady; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2014, from the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Timothy Gann and the Rev. Buddy Brewer officiating.
Interment will follow in the Moores Chapel Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday before the service at the funeral home.
