Dorothy Hudson Lett, 82, of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, Feb. 3, 2014.
She was born in Clay County, Ala., on Jan. 9, 1932.
She was a member of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church. She moved from Anniston, Ala., to Cleveland where she has resided since 1954. She was an avid bowler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Shelly Alexander and Ida Mae Hudson; sister, June Wilber; and brothers: Roy and Richard Hudson.
She is survived by her husband, Huland (Hugh) Lett of Cleveland; two sons: Roy Lett and Bobby Lett of Cleveland; six grandchildren: Jason and Michelle Lett, Morgan and Katie Lett, Judson and Ashley (Lett) Suber, Cody Lett, Ryan Lett and William and Amanda Bates; two great-grandchildren: Logan Bates and Gavin Lett; brother, Marvin Hudson and wife, Clara, of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb, 6, 2014, at Michigan Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Victor Hayes and the Rev. David Peters officiating.
Interment will follow in Michigan Avenue Baptist Church Cemetery with Jason Lett, Cody Lett, Morgan Lett, Travis Hudson, William Bates, Kevin Hudson, and Trey Campbell serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
