Frank Brown, 79, of Old Fort, passed away Sunday evening, Feb. 2, 2014, at 7 p.m. at his home.
He was a member of Shady Springs Baptist Church.
He retired from Cook’s Chair Factory, but he was a jack of all trades. He loved Nascar Racing and spending time outside in the garage working.
He ran the 411 Steak House, worked at Diamond Carpet, drove a school bus, and cut paper wood. He could fix anything and do everything. He enjoyed camping and fishing and going to the flea market every Saturday.
He was the son of the late Chester and Bertha Brown. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Bell McCulland, Ellen Pope, And Mammie Cain; and one brother, Fred Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Brown; two brothers: Roy and Arnold Brown; two sisters: Geneva Durham and Margie Wilson; one daughter, Carolyn Lillard; a grandson, Daniel Pankey; a granddaughter, Lyndsey Sandidge; one stepdaughter, Michelle Zysk; two stepsons: Rodney and Mitchell Wilson; stepgrandsons: Mark and Nathan Maddux, Justin Zysk, Roy, Jesse, Kevin, Dylan and Riley Wilson; stepgranddaughters: Hope and Lilly Wilson, Allison Zysk, and Amanda Broglin; and great-grandchildren: Marshall Lane, Bailey Sandidge and Calli Pankey.
A celebration of his life is planned for Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Shady Springs Baptist Church, on Horns Creek Road in Old Fort with the Rev. Larry Robertson and the Rev. Eddie Trentham officiating.
The family will receive friends for visitation and viewing on Wednesday from noon until the 3 p.m. service time at the church.
Interment will follow at the Shed Cemetery.
