Southern Adventist University's Symphony Orchestra, led by Laurie Redmer Minner, will present its annual concerto concert on Feb. 9, at 4 p.m., in Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists.

The concert features the winners of Southern’s Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. Six soloists were chosen for the performances: two violinists, Pablo Sanchez-Pazos of Andrews University and Dana Wilson of Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy; two pianists, Man-Ling Bair and Yi-Ju Tsai of Lee University; one violist, Guanliang Zong of Lee University; and one oboist, Tyler Rand of Southern Adventist University.

The concert will showcase a variety of classical pieces, such as “Polonaise Brilliante in D Major” by Henri Wieniawski, “Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in E Minor,” by Mendelssohn and “Piano Concerto No. 15 in B-flat Major” by Mozart.

The concert is free and open to the public. The concert will also be broadcast live at southern.edu/streaming.
