Joy Anisa, the author of Identity Crisis: Moving From Crisis To Credibility,” is a ministry counselor “helping people rebuild their lives after divorce, other life-altering crisis, and/or drug addiction.”

Anisa is the ministry counselor at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters in western North Carolina and is a graduate of “She Speaks with Proverbs 31 Ministries.” She supports women by encouraging them through biblical principles and helping them to understand the purpose and the process to healing.

Through her work with those breaking-free from addictions and those rebuilding their lives after a life-altering crisis, such as grieving or divorce, Anisa provides a professional approach balanced with a deep compassion that comes from her own pain.

A single mom of two, Anisa is passionate about matters of identity and value. She is a professional counselor who ministers to young people and their leaders through her position with Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.

Anisa studied for three years at Liberty University and graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a bachelor of science in counseling. She has worked in the local church for more than 10 years, assisting hurting people as they confront addiction, relational challenges, personal grief and other life-altering crisis.

As a graduate of “She Speaks,” Anisa brings the message of freedom and peace to thousands of women through her speaking and teaching.

“To walk through a crisis is the journey none of us ever chooses. But if you or someone you love, is making that journey, there is no better guide than wisdom of one who has gone before you. Joy Anisa is just such a wise guide and this book is filled with the lessons she is graciously passing back to us all. Full of integrity, Joy has walked from crisis to credibility. Let her gentle spirit come alongside you and show you the way,” Angela Thomas, bestselling author and speaker, said.

“Everyone should read this book to learn about crisis and what it means to find hope through it. Joy Anisa presents a well-studied, Christ-centered look at a life saturated with crisis, and how one can discover healing and growth. With compassion, she points readers to one ultimate truth. It all comes back to Jesus. This book is a practical guide for effective ministry and personal growth,” Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters director Brody Holloway said.

“When the landscape of your life changes and you are left standing in ruins, Joy Anisa points you to the master Contractor and will walk beside you as you allow Christ to rebuild your life brick by brick,” said Pastor Johnny Hunt, senior pastor, First Baptist Church Woodstock, Ga.

“Identity Crisis: Moving From Crisis to Credibility” follows the principles in the Old Testament book of Nehemiah. “We too can rebuild,” Anisa explained. “A crisis can affect anyone at anytime and ruin life as we know it. However, the process of rebuilding is what will make all the difference. Often the desire to be restored becomes the focus and the process by which that restoration comes is minimized. Whatever has left you devastated, restoration can come through Jesus Christ. However, it is His joy that will give you strength for the tough journey that must be experienced.”

Anisa speaks at conferrences and retreats and can be contacted by email at The book is available on amazon.
