Newcomers of Cleveland will have its next general meeting on Monday at 9:45 a.m., at Broad Street Methodist Church. The agenda will include nominations for the 2014-15 Newcomers Board. There also will be demonstrations by members of their favorite craft projects (rescheduled from the January meeting). Come and meet new friends and neighbors from the Cleveland area. Take Charge of Your Diabetes, a six-week course, will begin on Monday and continue on Feb. 10, 17 and 24, as well as March 3 and 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. each meeting. The course is a fun, skill-building program designed for those with diabetes. It is designed to help individuals take day-to-day responsibility for the care of their diabetes. Class size is limited. The Ocoee Theatre Guild will present its first season's production of “Sirens,” a sweet, romantic comedy, at The Venue Creekside on Friday and Saturday and Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. with an afternoon matinee on Feb. 16 at 2:30 p.m. Valentine’s Day performance will be at 8 p.m. — a perfect way to spend the evening with your favorite Valentine. “2nd Sunday @ 2” in February (Feb. 9) will feature Julie Bestry, a certified professional organizer and owner of Best Results Organizing. She will share secrets to start and keep you organized this year. Call the library’s nonfiction desk to reserve a spot for this program.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) local chapter meets every Monday at Wesleyan Methodist Church on Peerless Road. Private weigh-ins are from 5 to 5:30 p.m., and the meeting is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. A TOPS category for children ages 7-18 is available. For more information, call 472-9628 or 593-4727.
