Cleveland State presents effective resume and proactive interviewing workshops

­Cleveland State Community College’s Office of Cooperative Education and Service-Learning is sponsoring two upcoming workshops during the month of February — The Effective Resume and Proactive Interviewing.

Both workshops are for students, as well as anyone from the community who wishes to attend.

The first workshop, The Effective Resume, is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 12:30 p.m., and again at 5 p.m. in Room 104 of the Career Education Building on the main campus and on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 12:30 and 5 p.m. in Room 122 of the Athens campus.

Participants will learn how to present their training, experience, skills and expertise in a strong, effective portfolio.

The Proactive Interviewing workshop will teach you how to effectively prepare for job interviews and succeed in selling yourself as the best candidate in this one-hour workshop.

This workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 12:30 p.m. and again at 5 p.m. in Room 104 of the Career Education Building on the main campus. The workshop will also be offered on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 12:30 p.m and 5 p.m. in Room 122 of the Athens campus.

These workshops are part of the Spring 2014 Career Workshop Series sponsored by the Cleveland State Cooperative Education and Service Learning Office.

The workshops are free to the public, and no advance registration is required.
