Geraldine Virginia Hilliard Angelone went to her heavenly reward Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, in a local hospital after 93 years of living.

She was born July 15, 1920, to Charlie and Nola Hilliard of Polk County. She was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong member of the Eastern Star.

Everyone knew her as “Chickie,” because of her employment of almost a lifetime at the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant on Wildwood Avenue.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Bob Evans of Cleveland, and Joey Angelone and his wife, Norma, of Cleveland; her daughter, Sharon Wright of Cleveland, whom she loved dearly; her grandchildren: Rhonda Campbell, Andrea Angelone Crane, Christa Angelone Stuart, Michael Wright and April Pearson; several great-grandchildren; and special friends: Billie McCraken, Debra Pierce and Janet Carroll.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Home with the Revs. Ronnie Pearson and David Crump and Mayor Tom Rowland officiating.

The interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery with John England, Randy Burdette, Steve Liner, Drew Radar, Ricky Stuart and Jason Campbell serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
