He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and the owner of Foster’s Automotive Parts. He was passionate about taking care of his immediate and extended family and was a loving, fun, caring husband, father and friend. He enjoyed flying his own plane and was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Doyle and Shirley Verner Foster; and uncle, Alvin Foster.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 32 years, April Lotito Foster; two children: Madyson Sloane Foster and Adam Wilson Foster, both of Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Athena Foster and Roger Gilbert; sister-in-law, Brittany Ramage; aunts: Rhoda Foster Smith, Frances Foster and Peggy Morrow, all of Cleveland; nephews: Nathan Gilbert (Amy) of Knoxville, Jeremy Gilbert (Erika) of Murfreesboro, Kevin Gilbert of Cleveland; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Hall officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Kevin Gilbert, Jeremy Gilbert, Nathan Gilbert, Dale McClure, Michael Lawson, Ben Casias, Roger Gilbert and Clayton Presley serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
