Bobby David Black, 65, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, Dec.28, 2013, in a local hospital.

He was the son of the late James and Ester Mantooth Black. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Black; his sisters, Betty Jean Pullen and Hollie Black; son, Kenneth Black; and a grandchild, Raven Black.

He was a former employee with Fulmarque Chair Factory, with more than 10 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Peggy Black; sons: Robert Black and his wife, Lori, of Old Fort and Robbie Black of Cleveland; daughters: Pam Robinson of Englewood, Maggie Sims and her husband, Steve, of Cleveland; eight grandchildren: Samantha Edwards, Jeremiah Sims, Cameron, Lucky, Cody, Xavier, Lukar Black and Lanesa Robinson; and one great-grandchild, Logan Armstrong; brothers: Holland Black, Donnie Black and Verlon Black, all of Old Fort; sisters: Martha Trentham and Annie Wilcoxon, both of Old Fort and Mary Parks of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Terry Webb and Matthew Harris officiating.

Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Arthur Trentham, Cody Black, J.J. Yates, Ross “Junior” McNabb, Jimmy Black and Mac Wilcoxon serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
