In observance of a longstanding Christmas tradition at the Cleveland Daily Banner, today’s front page is filled only with the good news of the season.

Banned from today’s “Page 1” are stories of crime, accidents, arrests and disasters.

In the true spirit of Christmas, not only is our front page dominated by the many positives of the season, it also features some creative writing by several of our talented staff writers. Today, our readers will find exclusive interviews with holiday headliners like Mrs. Claus — the great woman behind the good man — and another feature offering a whole new perspective on some hardworking elves.

Of course, you’ll also find true stories like a church’s community food drive, a reporter’s look back at his greatest story ever told and a Cleveland hairstyle salon that offers its own twist to the Angel Tree.

We know you’ll enjoy each of these stories, as well as even more on the inside pages.

To allow our employees to enjoy a much-deserved Christmas with their families, the Cleveland Daily Banner offices will close early today and will reopen Thursday at 8 a.m. We will not publish on Christmas Day.

In keeping with the beliefs of “The City With Spirit,” please accept this heartfelt wish from our newspaper family to yours: Merry Christmas!
