Lowell “Mack” Shields, 63, of Georgetown, passed away, Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, in a local health care facility.

He was the son of the late Claire Myrtle Clemmons and Paul “Sam” Shields.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy; and sisters: Lydia Shields, Evelyn Jenkins and Myra Ledford.

He was a veteran of the Tennessee National Guard and was an expert marksman.

He had been the computer and telecommunications engineer for Check Into Cash since 1999. Prior to joining Check Into Cash, he worked at Dixie Yarns in Chattanooga for 25 years.

He was very creative and he loved music and making wood carvings. His favorite band was Pink Floyd. He loved motorcycles and had been riding since the age of 16. He loved animals of all kinds and traveled frequently. His favorite trips were to Hawaii and the Grand Canyon, where he rode a mule named “Blue Duck” that was named after a character in his favorite movie, “Lonesome Dove.”

There will be no formal service held.

Arrangements were by Wann Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
