Glena Ruth Burditt, 90, a resident of Knoxville, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Tennova Hospice Center with her daughter, Francis, and grandson, Todd Harrison, at her side.

She was a longtime resident of Cleveland and had resided with her daughter, Francis, in her Knoxville home where she receive loving care from Francis, and her grandson, Todd.

She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed watching the walkers, joggers and dogs as they walked the river-front walkway in front of their Knoxville home.

She always enjoyed visits from the grandchildren and loved to play games, fellowship and always ended with a prayer to God. She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Frank Fowler; her precious granddaughter, Cinthia Harrison Anderson; and her loving husband of 49 years, James Robert Burditt.

They enjoyed many years together and traveled the world abroad as J.R. was a member of the United States Air Force.

She is survived by a daughter, Francis Harrison; grandchildren: Tim and Todd Harrison, and Danny, Mike, Barry and Jamie Fowler; daughter-in-law, Janice Fowler; great-grandchildren: Courtney and Clark Anderson, Victory and Brandon Harrison, Lori Cox and Shelia Black; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family extends appreciation to Tennova Hospice Center an home-care nurses Sharon Sills, Ruthie Burner and Joy Shaffer.

The family will have a memorial service at Cleveland Cornerstone Church in Cleveland. The service time will be published at a later date.
