A Master Class and Meet and Greet session were held, along with an inspiring private performance by Diaz.
Diaz is a celebrity Internet dance sensation and preteen and teen social media icon. She has teamed up with Kid's Artistic Revue conventions and competitions and their Dancewear line "Heartless Romantics" as the face of the new dance clothing line.
She will be featured in Dance Spirit Magazine in January 2014 and also in the new movie “Parts per Billion,” out in early 2014.
She was recently the celebrity guest star on the Lifetime TV's show, "Dance Moms: Miami."
Hall is known worldwide for starring as Mr. Mistoffelees in the Broadway Tour of the Tony Award winning show "Cats." He has worked regionally in New York starring in “La Cage Aux Folles,” “Oklahoma!,” “Annie,” “Beauty and the Beast” and many others.
Hall also owns a dance studio called "Prodigy Dance Centre," and is a member of the Actors Equity Association.
“Enhancing the dance experience and exposing our dancers to a higher level of performance and ability allows them to learn and grow as a dancer themselves,” said Tria Montgomery, OnStage owner and director.
“It was exciting to be able to offer the Diaz and Hall experience in our community.”
Beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers were welcome and participants were challenged with appropriate skill-level choreography.
The class ended with the dancers performing the newly learned choreography with Diaz and Hall.
Onstage Dance and Music Company is located at 270 James Asbury Drive.
Winter/spring registration will take place Jan. 4 from 2 to 6 p.m. with classes beginning Jan. 6. Space is limited.
