Jennie Mae Moore, 97, a resident of Old Fort, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013.

She was the oldest member of Beech Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Daye Moore; her parents, William R. and Leota Suttles; and 16 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include five children: Virginia Carney of Cherokee, N.C., Arnold Moore of Old Fort, Wilma Cannon (Burley) of Cookeville, Louis Moore (Cindy) of Brooks, Ga. and Gail Stephenson (Bill) of Ocoee; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. today, Dec. 5, 2013, at Beech Springs Baptist Church in Polk County, with Pastor Jerry Campbell officiating.

Interment will follow on Friday morning at 10 in Benton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 this evening at Beech Springs Baptist Church.
