Ernest Whaley, 84, a resident of Cleveland, died Friday night, Nov. 29, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 8, 1929. He was a truck driver for 44 years. He was of the Baptist faith and was a son of the late Oliver and Eda Whaley.

He is survived by two daughters: Wanda and her husband, Larry Farley, of Signal Mountain and Sandy and her husband, Ronnie Moore; two sons: Tommy and his wife, Jan Whaley, and Jeff Whaley, all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Chris and Josh Harden, Brandon Frazier, Duston and Brittney Whaley and Obie Moore; great-grandchildren: Riley Cameren Harden, Garrett Harden, Samantha Frazier, Colby and Megan Whaley and Avery and Asher Moore; two sisters: Mary Ash and Melle Whaley; one brother, Jack Whaley and his wife, Shirley, all of Cleveland; and several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and a host of special friends.

In honor of Ernest’s wishes there will be no public service or visitation at this time.
