Joseph S. Mosby, 90, of Cleveland passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2013.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army Air Force, and retired from Hall Chevrolet in Cleveland after more than 30 years employed there.
He was the son of the late Shepherd Mosby and Mary Jane Peters Mosby.
In addition to his parent he is preceded in death by his wife Mae Clara Young Mosby, one son Raymond H. Mosby, one daughter Joan Mosby Smith and son-in-law Kenneth Smith.
He is survived by one son, Robert (Shelia) Mosby, and one daughter Brenda (Andrew) Johnson all of Cleveland; one sister, Mary Evelyn Mosby Quinney of Dallas, Ga.; grandchildren, Natalia A. Smith of Nashville, Kenny Smith of Kentucky, Jessica (Eli) Mosby Garcia of Nashville, Amanda Mosby of Houston, Tx., Sherry Johnson of Buford, Ga., and Andrea Johnson Prowell of Mansfield, Texas, great-grandchildren, Yzmin Mosby of Atlanta, Ga., Keanen Prowell of Mansfield, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the pastor Rev. Edward S. Robinson Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 11 a.m. until noon Interment will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
