Lena V. Hackney, 94, a resident of Cleveland and formerly of West Virginia, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at the family residence.
She was the daughter of the late John and Maggie Dixon Wickline. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hackney; and her first husband, Virgil Young.
She attended Shiloh Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters: Gloria Hodge, Sherry Samples and Carol Kelley, all of Cleveland; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kay Pauley of Dunbar, W.Va.; brothers: Junior Wickline of Melbourne, Fla.. and James Wickline of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at the North Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Michael Samples and Ike Samples officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Cemetery with Mike and Ike Samples, Neal Hodgson, Tracy Paulk, Troy Cobb and Johnny Hodge serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Monday evening 5 to 8 at the North Chapel.
