The theme of the show, “Stitches in Time: Hand Quilting,” will explore the simple yet intricate art of quilting by hand.
The museum will accept the first 25 antique quilts finished prior to 1950, and the first 25 contemporary hand-quilted quilts.
“Stitches in Time: Hand Quilting” will not be juried, and submissions are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Quilts will be judged by a qualified quilting expert for appearance, color, design, and technique. Award categories will include Viewer’s Choice, Best of Show: Large Contemporary, Best of Show: Small Contemporary, Best of Show: Antique, Best of Show: Duet, Best of Show: Group and Best Use of Color and Design.
Interested participants should bring their quilts and completed application form to the museum between Jan. 2 and Jan. 10, 2014.
Complete rules and application form are available online at www.MuseumCenter.org or on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/
