Jessie Mae Huffaker, 83, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at the family home.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Biddie Mallicoat Spires. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hal H. Huffaker Sr.; her sons: Hal H. Huffaker Jr. and Ricky A. “Rocko” Huffaker; granddaughters: Amber Jenkins and Barbara Huffaker; brother, Lon Spires; sister, Gertrude Perkey; sister-in-law, Wanda Cash; and brothers-in-law: Jack Snyder, Fred Atkins and Berlen Garrett.
She is survived by her longtime companion, Mike Hendricks, of Georgetown: her daughter, Sandy Forquer and her husband, Doug, of Cleveland; her son, Garry Huffaker of Georgetown; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters: Helen Atkins of Corryton, Gladys Lawson and her husband, Bill, of Knoxville; brother, Raymond “Freddie” Spires and his wife, Aurelia, of Andersonville; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at noon Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Gary Nelson officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 8 at the North Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
