Ashton B. Myers

Air Force Airman 1st Class Ashton B. Myers graduated from the Water and Fuel Systems Apprentice Course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas.

The course is designed to train students in water processing, analysis, operating principles of water treatment plants, maintenance of water and wastewater, fire suppression and backflow prevention systems and components; and maintenance and repair of water supply, waste, fuels, and natural gas systems.

The training included monitoring systems operation to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety and environmental regulations for hazardous materials; performing inspection, recurring maintenance, and seasonal overhaul on systems and components; troubleshooting malfunctions and removing, repairing, and replacing defective components; and modifying equipment for specific missions or to increase efficiency.

Myers is the son of Billy and Tammy Myers, grandson of Lavesta Myers and nephew of April Hickman, all of Cleveland.

Myers graduated in 2010 from Bradley Central High School.

Caleb M. Higgins

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Caleb M. Higgins has enlisted in the Ohio Air National Guard, a Reserve Component of the U.S. Air Force.

Higgins is an F-16 egress specialist assigned to the 180th Fighter Wing at Swanton, Ohio.

He is the son of Travis Higgins of Findlay, and Michelle Hatchett of Cleveland.
