MGC members serve at Trousdale

The Magnolia Garden Club met at Trousdale School for its October meeting.

This year, MGC has had the opportunity to meet at the school several times.

Members have enjoyed serving lunch to students and staff, building and planting containers for the entrance and planting a vegetable garden.

The October meeting began with lunch served by MGC members.

After lunch, members replanted the containers at the entrance with kale and pansies for the fall and winter. Mums and pumpkin displays are placed at the entrance, also.

Bluebird houses which were precut by MGC members were put together at the meeting. The students, with the help of Allen Clark, Trousdale administrative director, worked to build four houses. These houses will be added to two existing bluebird houses on the property.

Fredricka Lawson, president, conducted the business meeting.

Others attending were Annette Stanbery, Bess Neil, Sayle Bowen, Elsie Yates, Patsy Bettis, Sheila Cardin and Erma Brewer.
