The Tween Lego Club will host its Legoland Literacy Exhibit in the Cleveland Bradley Community Room on Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Nov. 3, from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Library Gallery will feature art and photography from the Teen Zone and Preschool Story Time participants. Special guests for the weekend will be Michael P. White, illustrator of “The Library Dragon” and “Star Wars” characters from the 501st Mid-South Garrison, Mos Nooga Squad. This event will be fun for the whole family. Family Reading Night is Monday from 6:30 to 7:30 in the Community Room. Dress up in your favorite costume for reading time with the whole family. First 10 people receive a free book. This program is in collaboration with the United Way of Bradley County.

Teen Book Talk will be Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in the Teen Zone. Discussion will be on Marie Lu’s book “Legend.”

“Trick and Treating” will be held at the library from 4 until 6 p.m. on Halloween for children 12 and under. Start at the Circulation Desk and proceed to the Children’s Room where the first 35 children will be able to make and take a decorated pumpkin.

The Athens Community Theatre is holding auditions for its winter musical, “Into the Woods,” this today at 2 p.m. and Monday at 7 p.m. at The Arts Center in Athens. Show dates are Feb. 13-23, 2014.

The Salvation Army's Christmas Angel Tree registration is Oct. 28–30, Nov. 4-7 and Nov. 12-14, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at 437 Inman St. Volunteers are needed to help families register their Christmas wishes. For more information, to volunteer, or to make an appointment to register, call 308-3467.

The James County Historical Society will meet Nov. 3 at 2:30 p.m. in the Ooltewah Methodist Church in the Sunday school addition.
