The City of Chattanooga Pipe Band finished another successful season of local performances and regional competitions.

On Oct. 19 the Band competed at the 41st Annual Stone Mountain Highland Games and Scottish Festival held at Stone Mountain Park, Ga.

The band took first place in its division out of a field of 13 bands (each band is made up of a corps of bagpipes as well as a corps of drums). This was the second year the band placed first at Stone Mountain.

The band has appeared throughout the Tri-State area in the past, at such venues as Rock City Garden’s Shamrock City and Riverbend. The next appearance will be Nov. 9 during the UTC football game’s halftime show. The City of Chattanooga Pipe Band is under the direction of Pipe Major Tom Arnold and Drum Sgt. David Cameron.

The band is now booking performances for 2014 and is always looking for new members.
