Titan Towing donated time, trucks and employees Saturday morning to tow the armored personnel carrier to its final resting spot near the front of American Legion Post 81. Two Mark 113 APCs have sat off to the side since 2006 when the Legion moved to James Asbury Drive. Post Commander Wes Billings said the 15-ton vehicles will be pressure washed and painted. The vehicles were first introduced in 1962 and were used in Vietnam. They have a top ground speed of 40 mph and 2.5 mph in water. The vehicles are still in use in alternative roles as they have been superseded by the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, according to Billings. Banner photo, DAVID DAVIS
