The Lady Crusaders of Cleveland Christian hosted their final SCAA home volleyball game Tuesday evening against Oakwood Christian Academy. Oakwood was hitting on all cylinders and hitting their spots as Cleveland Christian (6-13) lost three straight games 25-10, 25-9 and 25-15.

“This was a tough team to have for a conference home finale but the girls worked hard and actually played as good a back row defense as they have played all season long,” remarked coach Mathis after the disappointing loss. “Several girls have made noticeable adjustments to their game.”

Emily Sexton led the team with three aces and four digs. Jennifer Corbitt had four digs, a block, and an ace. Shelby Hartman and Acacia Thompson each had a dig and a kill. Hope Nix had two assists and Chloe Wong had two digs.

The Lady Crusaders will play one final home nonconference game against Georgia Cumberland Thursday beginning at 7:30 p.m.
