The food drive will run the month of September and be celebrated with the bank’s Tailgate Day event on Sept. 20, when all of the branches will hold tailgate parties. Both Polk County branches plan to fill the bed of pickup trucks at each location with provisions for the food bank.
Food can be also dropped off at offices in Benton and Ocoee during normal banking hours.
“We are excited to be working in partnership with the Polk County Baptist Association Food Bank in helping them feed those in need,” said retail executive Joe Waters. “They do wonderful work in our community, and we are hopeful that our contribution will help fulfill some of the need.”
First Volunteer Bank is a $885 million financial institution with 24 branch offices throughout Tennessee and Northwest Georgia.
