The Benton Lions Club conducted Kids Sight Screening at the Polk County Fair on Tuesday and Saturday. Among the participants were Addison Pirkle of Cleveland, Benton Lions Club President Greg Swyers, and taking the picture of Addison's eyes is Sheila Chesanow, Zone 3 chair and a member of the Athens Lions Club. The Benton Lions Club thank Sheila and her husband Dan for bringing the camera and assisting with this most valuable service the children of our community, and to the parents who brought their children by the booth at the fair for screening. Kids Sight is a program run by Zone 12-0 Lions of Tennessee in conjunction with Vanderbilt Children's Pediatric Ophthalmology in Nashville and is available to all children free of charge between the ages of 2 and 5. They cannot have had their sixth birthday. For more information contact your local Lions Club.
