Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. — Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park in conjunction with Friends of the Park invites the public to an evening concert on Sept. 21, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Wilder Brigade Monument in Chickamauga Battlefield.

The Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra is presented through special funding from Friends of the Park as part of the Civil War 150th commemoration.

The free concert will be a special and nostalgic evening for residents and visitors, who are invited to converge on the beloved tower with blankets, camp chairs, picnic baskets and a taste for stirring American music.

This will be a “green event” and so participants will be asked to carry-out what they carry-in to the concert as your part in taking care of your national military park.

In case of inclement weather on the day of the concert, unfortunately the concert will be cancelled. Parking will take place in the Recreation Field and other fields surrounding the Wilder Brigade Monument.

If a vehicle becomes mired due to wet field conditions, it may need to be towed at the owner’s expense.
