The team hopes to capitalize on its early momentum as it jumps into District 5-AAA action this week.
Tonight Bradley will travel to take on East Hamilton at 5 p.m., and Thursday will host Soddy-Daisy at 6 p.m.
Senior captain Monse Rincon got the Bearettes on the board first with, with the assist coming from junior Caley Jones.
Following a 10-minute delay due to an injury to a goalkeeper, things got back underway as Jones scored her first goal of the evening off a free kick.
Bradley’s 2-0 lead was added to through the first of five goals racked up by sophomore captain Haley Yarber during Monday’s match.
The dynamic duo of Yarber and Jones dominated the remainder of the game, as Yarber got the final goal of the first half with the assist coming from Jones.
The Bearettes were able to add six more goals in the second half.
A left-footed shot from the outside by Jones brought the score up to 5-0. Jones followed that up with another goal, with Rincon getting the assist.
Yarber’s shot from the corner, with the assist by Jones, only increased Bradley’s convincing lead over the Lady Wildcats.
It was only after a free kick from Yarber found the back of the net, bringing the score to 8-0, that Polk County was able to score two consecutive goals.
The Bearettes’ answered back with Jones’ final goal for the game, which was assisted by senior captain Lydia Brown.
Yarber got the 10th goal off of another shot from the corner, and was again assisted by Jones.
While in goal, Brown allowed no scores. Sophomore Tara Blackwell allowed two goals.
