The Museum Center at Five Points’ annual gala will be held Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s black-tie event, “Flappers and Fedoras,” will bring the Golden Age of the Roaring ’20s back to life, complete with live music and food.

Tickets are available by calling 339-5745. Proceeds benefit the Museum’s exhibits and programming.

“The Flappers and Fedoras Gala will be an evening of celebration and fun as we come together to support the unique work being done here at our community’s museum,” said executive director Hassan Najjar.

The annual gala will honor the George R. Johnson Foundation and family and will feature cocktails, dinner, a live auction and music from the Dexter Thomas Band.

Black tie or period attire is requested.

The Museum Center at Five Points tells the story of the Ocoee region through compelling exhibitions and dynamic educational programming that promotes history, culture, and preservation.

The Museum Store features arts, crafts, and books from select artists, craftsmen, and authors from within a 200-mile radius.

Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum is closed Sunday, Monday, and on select holidays. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, and free for children under 5. Members of the Museum receive free admission. Group rates are available and the Museum’s facilities can be rented year-round for weddings and special events.
