Cody Tatum, 28, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday morning, Aug. 26, 2013, in a local hospital.
He was a graduate of Bradley Central High School. He was previously employed with Merck Corp. and at the time of his death was employed with the Ocoee Winery.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles W. Tatum; and his maternal grandparents, Theresa Korbini, Martin Korbini and his wife, Evelyn Korbini.
He enjoyed being outdoors including fishing and cooking out. He was known to give help to anyone who was in need of help, and loved being with his nieces.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Tatum of Ocoee; father, Gerald Tatum and his companion, Rita Grissom, of Cleveland; brother, Cole Tatum and his wife, Heidi, of Cleveland; his nieces: Skylar, Cheyenne and Marley Tatum and Kaylee Solomon; grandmother, Nancy Lewis and her husband, Morris, of Cleveland; his aunts: Kim Hybarger and her husband, Charles, Donna Bales and her husband, D.J., Theresa Baggett, Angie Scarola and her husband, Phil, and Bonnie Sullivan and her husband, Shawn; his girlfriend, Wendy Gasparian; and several cousins.
The Remembrance of Life Memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at 7 p.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday before the service at the funeral home.
