The Lady Raiders were able to top Rhea County Monday evening, taking three out of their five games (25-16, 22-25, 22-25, 27-25, 15-12).

"We came out strong in set one, but had a lot of unforced errors in the next couple of games. Rhea County is well coached and probably one of the more underrated teams we have played, but our girls always know that playing them is never a guaranteed win. We had 19 service errors, 28 hitting errors, 12 ball handling errors, and 11 blocking errors on our part. Fortunately, our girls fought hard and came out with a win,” Cleveland head coach Patricia Flowers said.

Senior outside hitter Marissa Langford had 10 receptions, 20 digs and 29 kills. Junior libero Kayla Lee had three aces, 34 receptions, 40 digs, and two assists.

Senior defensive specialist KK Clements had one ace, 18 receptions and 10 digs while junior defensive specialist Addie Strode had seven aces, 14 digs and one kill. Sophomore setter Kellee Geren has 15 digs, three kills and 43 assists.

Sophomore outside hitter Allison Botts had 10 kills and senior middle hitter Aneisha Barber had seven kills.

The Lady Raiders next match will be tonight as they host McMinn County at 6 p.m.
