Shealeigh Brewer is the “Show Girl” for a special benefit concert and performance by award-winning Elvis impersonator Matt Cordell. The well-known performer will give a concert of inspirational and gospel favorites on Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Gem Theater in Etowah.

Shealeigh is the 12-year-old daughter of Jeff and Dana Pack of Riceville. In February, Shealeigh, second from left, was diagnosed with Ewins Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. Since than, she has had numerous chemo treatments and several surgeries and is awaiting several more.

Cordell met Shealeigh on Monday as he prepared for the Aug. 25 Elvis Tribute.

Tickets are $15 for reserved seats and $12 for general admission. A portion of each ticket price goes to the McMinn Cancer Fund, which is designated to help a local child or children. Donations for Shealeigh will also be accepted at the show. Checks may be made payable to Merchants of Etowah (memo: For Shealeigh Brewer).

Advanced reserve tickets are available at Etowah Community Center and online at www.etowahtn.org (credit cards accepted online). General admission tickets are available at Etowah: Gentle Dental, Chamber of Commerce and Interiors by Design; Athens: Madison Square Antiques Mall; Sweetwater; Picket Fence Galleries; and at Cleveland: Relics Antiques.

The event is sponsored by Merchants and Friends of Etowah, Maxine Jones, event coordinator.
