Dorothy Nell Pierce, 85, a lifelong resident of the Black Fox community of Cleveland, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.
She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Norma Bullington. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of her family, friends and many supporters carried her through the last six months of her precious life as she battled Alzheimer’s. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter and joking around, will never be forgotten. She loved spending time with her family and dedicated her life to being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is rejoicing in Heaven with her husband, TR Pierce; their two sons: Danny and Randy; and her brother, Clyde Bullington.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Harold Bunch; twin granddaughters and their husbands: Kristi and Luke Muhonen and Angie and Bryan Bramlett; six great-grandchildren: Kayla Arp, Kamryn Woody, Brent Keaton, Jaxon Chapman, Stephen Muhonen and Anna Muhonen; sister-in-laws: Sarah Bullington, Polly Pierce and Della Pierce; several special nieces and nephews, numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, located at 2514 Old Chattanooga Pike S.W. in Cleveland, with the Rev. Phil Griffen officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. service time.
